For the teacher who is dedicated to providing the best for their clients

Imagine stepping into a deeper layer of Yin Yoga where each class you teach feels intentional, intelligent, and thoughtfully designed.

Many teachers fall in love with the quiet depth of Yin. Yet when it comes to designing a full class, uncertainty often arises. Should the sequence focus on anatomy and fascia? Should it follow seasonal themes, meridian pathways, or simply offer a space where the nervous system can soften and settle?

Sequencing Yin is often more nuanced than it first appears. Without a clear framework, classes can easily become a collection of shapes rather than a cohesive experience. Across this training we explore Yin sequencing through multiple lenses so your classes begin to feel both creative and purposeful rather than disconnected.

You’ll discover how Yin classes can be designed through approaches such as:

• anatomy and fascia awareness
• real student needs such as hips, spine, shoulders or the modern desk body
• seasonal inspiration and gentle meridian awareness
• emotional themes such as grounding, courage, release or renewal
• nervous system support and regulation

Alongside a collection of thoughtfully designed sequences you can teach immediately, we will unpack the reasoning behind them — why certain shapes work well together, how pacing influences the experience of a class, and how language can help students connect more deeply to the practice.

This training is designed to help you move beyond simply guiding poses and begin designing Yin classes that feel cohesive, meaningful and uniquely your own./p>

For the Yoga Teacher or Practitioner who wants to…

  • Move beyond simply teaching Yin poses and begin designing classes that feel intentional, thoughtful, and deeply supportive for your students.
  • Create sequences that not only release physical tension, but also invite students into a slower rhythm where the nervous system can settle and the body can soften.
  • Weave themes into your Yin classes – perhaps inspired by the seasons, the body, emotional qualities, or the subtle pathways of the meridian lines.
  • Understand how anatomy, fascia, and the body’s natural patterns of tension and release can inform the way your classes unfold.
  • Structure a Yin class so that it flows with clarity rather than feeling like a collection of disconnected shapes.
  • Have a library of sequences you can teach immediately, while also learning the thinking behind them so you can begin designing your own.
  • Your Yin classes to feel like more than a quiet stretch – but rather a space where students reconnect with themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.
  • Evolve as a teacher and offering practices that help students slow down, breathe more deeply, and return to a sense of balance.

Your Learning Journey (Module by Module)

MODULE 1: Foundations of Yin Sequencing

Here we establish the foundations of what makes a Yin class feel intentional, cohesive, and supportive for the body and nervous system. Rather than thinking in isolated poses, you’ll begin to understand the architecture of a Yin practice and how each shape contributes to the overall experience of a class.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • The core principles that create a well-structured Yin class
  • How pacing, pose order, and transitions shape the nervous system response
  • How to design classes that feel purposeful rather than like a collection of poses
  • The difference between simply teaching shapes and designing a Yin experience

MODULE 2: Anatomy, Fascia & Functional Yin

In this module we explore how anatomy and connective tissue awareness can guide the way Yin classes are designed. Rather than focusing on aesthetics, you’ll learn to sequence practices that support different areas of the body and respond to real student needs.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • How to design classes that support hips, spine, shoulders, and the front body
  • Sequencing Yin for common modern patterns such as desk posture and tight hips
  • How anatomy can inspire thoughtful and intelligent Yin class design
  • Functional movement vs aesthetic alignment in Yin Yoga

MODULE 3: The Art of Themed Yin Classes

Yin classes can be guided by many lenses, allowing the practice to feel both creative and meaningful. Here we explore how themes can shape the experience of a class, helping students connect not only with the body but also with deeper emotional and energetic qualities.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Designing Yin classes around emotional and energetic themes
  • How qualities such as grounding, release, courage, or renewal can shape a practice
  • The functions of Yin & Yang organ pairs
  • Sequencing practices around student needs or life rhythms
  • How themes influence the pacing, tone, and intention of a class

MODULE 4: Meridian Pathways & Energetic Awareness

Here we gently introduce the energetic pathways that flow through the body and how they can inspire Yin class design. Rather than studying full TCM theory, we focus on developing a simple awareness of how these pathways can guide shapes and themes within a sequence.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Where the major Yin meridian pathways travel through the body & how they relate to shapes
  • How to inspire class themes through meridian awareness without teaching TCM theory
  • The emotional qualities often associated with different energetic pathways
  • How energetic awareness can enrich your sequencing

MODULE 5: Nervous System & Intelligent Class Design

One of the most powerful aspects of Yin Yoga is its ability to support nervous system regulation. In this module we explore how sequencing, pacing, and teaching language influence the body’s stress response and help guide students toward deeper states of rest and restoration.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • How Yin Yoga influences the nervous system and stress response
  • Sequencing practices that support regulation, rest, and recovery
  • How pacing and stillness shape the experience of a Yin class
  • Teaching language that encourages safety, softness, and awareness
  • Designing classes that support both physical and emotional balance

Examples of Yin Classes We Break Down in the Training

Throughout the training we’ll explore a range of Yin class themes, helping you understand not only the shapes within a sequence but also the thinking behind how each class is designed.
Examples include:

  • Upper Body Reset – A practice releasing tension through chest, shoulders and upper back. Ideal for desk-bound bodies.
  • Hips & Emotional Release – A grounding sequence exploring the deep tissues of the hips and the emotional qualities often held there.
  • Back Body Restore – A slower practice designed to unwind the spine and posterior chain.
  • Spring Awakening – A seasonal sequence inspired by the energy of growth, expansion and renewal.
  • Grounding Late Summer Practice – A nourishing class cultivating steadiness, digestion and connection to the earth element.
  • Deep Rest for the Nervous System – A calming practice supporting nervous system regulation and deep rest.

For each sequence we explore the intention behind the class, why the shapes are organised in that order, the anatomical and energetic reasoning, suggested teaching language, and alternative shapes.

By the end of this training, you will….

  • Understand how to design Yin classes that feel cohesive, intentional, and thoughtfully structured

  • Build sequences that support physical release, nervous system regulation, and emotional balance

  • Weave anatomy, fascia awareness, seasonal inspiration, and meridian pathways into your teaching without overwhelm

  • Feel confident creating classes that move beyond disconnected poses into meaningful experiences

  • Understand how themes such as grounding, release, courage, or renewal can shape the journey of a Yin practice

  • Have a library of ready-to-teach Yin sequences while also knowing how to design your ownfeel

  • Stand out as a teacher who teaches from knowledge, intuition, and embodiment

Meet Your Teacher

I’m Caroline – a yoga teacher and educator with over 15 years of teaching experience.

My journey into Yin Yoga began in 2015 when I trained with Jo Phee in Australia, a senior teacher within the lineage of Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers. That training introduced me not only to Yin Yoga, but also to the fascinating relationship between anatomy, meridian pathways, and the deeper purpose of slower practices.

Since then I have completed over 200 hours of Yin Yoga training and continue my studies under Jo’s guidance, including Myo-Yin training in Germany and further studies in MFR and acupressure. Alongside this, I have also studied Yin and Mindfulness with Sarah Powers in Bali, deepening my understanding of how Yin Yoga can support both the body and the mind.

For over a decade I have taught yoga internationally and previously ran a yoga studio in Bali, where I shared retreats, classes, and teacher trainings. Since 2016 I have been sharing YTT’s and have supported over 250 yoga teachers in developing confidence in their Yin teaching and sequencing.

My work blends functional anatomy, fascia awareness, nervous system understanding, and the energetic perspectives of Traditional Chinese Medicine – helping teachers bring greater depth and intention to their classes.
