For the teacher who is dedicated to providing the best for their clients

Across this Yin & TCM Yoga Teacher Training, you’ll add profound depth to how you understand the body, stillness, and subtle energy. You’ll learn how Yin Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine weave together to support nervous system regulation, emotional balance, seasonal wellbeing and long-term health. Not just flexibility.

You won’t just study this work. You’ll feel it, embody it, and learn how to teach it with confidence. Each module builds intentionally on the last, allowing you to integrate anatomy, meridian theory and the Five Elements into classes that feel intelligent, grounding and deeply nourishing.

I know you have seen it in your students:

  • Tension that returns no matter how much stretching you offer.
  • Emotional weight held in hips, shoulders and breath.
  • A quiet sense that something deeper is asking to be met.

This is the next step in your already elaborate teaching toolkit. Your teaching will expand to a higher level in terms of richness, value, experience and enhance your students wellbeing. You recognise patterns of stress, protection and emotional holding – and you want to support them without forcing, fixing or pushing deeper into shapes. This training gives you that missing layer. Yin & TCM offers the bridge between stillness, anatomy, the nervous system and emotional intelligence, allowing you to guide classes that help students soften, regulate and release, while elevating your teaching into something truly distinctive.

For the Yoga Teacher or Practitioner who wants to…

  • Want to move beyond teaching just physical alignment, and movement, and create classes that nurture emotional and energetic balance.
  • Integrate the TCM & Five Elements Theories, helping students harmonize with the seasons and their natural rhythms.
  • Further develop your unique teaching voice and intuitive presence, feeling confident weaving ancient wisdom into modern, accessible Yin practices
  • Seek to stand out by offering a holistic practice that goes beyond Vinyasa or standard Yin Yoga.
  • Support physical tension and emotional release through carefully crafted Yin sequences, breathwork, stillness and subtle-body intelligence
  • Expand your knowledge of anatomy, nervous system health, and Qi flow to elevate your teaching.
  • Develop a personalized teaching style that blends ancient TCM wisdom with modern Yin Yoga.
  • Believe yoga is a tool for deep, holistic wellness and want to guide others toward physical, emotional, and energetic harmony.

Your Learning Journey (Module by Module)

MODULE 1: The Foundations of Yin: Anatomy, Stillness & the Inner Landscape

As an experienced Teacher or practitioner, this is where you will build the foundations that redefine how you understand Yin Yoga. You’ll experience Yin as a practice that changes tissue behaviour, nervous system tone, and energetic flow.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • The principles of Yin: stillness, time, depth, sensation
  • Functional vs aesthetic Yin – teaching to bodies, not shapes
  • Compression vs tension: how to know the difference
  • Tissue physiology: fascia, joints, and long-held stress patterns

MODULE 2: Yin/Yang & Daoist Philosophy: The Blueprint for Energetic Balance

Explore the ancient principles that shape all Yin & TCM work. You’ll learn to see your students through the lens of energetic balance as opposed to performance, alignment, or output.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Yin/Yang theory as applied to body, mind, energy and behaviour
  • How Yin/Yang imbalance shows up physically and emotionally
  • The role of Qi, stagnation, deficiency and flow
  • How to weave philosophical depth into classes without overwhelming students

MODULE 3: Meridian Theory, Organ Health & Emotional Intelligence

Understand the meridian system in a practical, embodied, teacher-friendly way. Guiding your students from a meridian theory you can feel, sequence with, and teach from.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • What meridians actually are
  • How meridians map into fascial pathways
  • The functions of Yin & Yang organ pairs
  • How organ health influences emotional patterns
  • How to select Yin shapes to support specific meridian pathways

MODULE 4: Five Elements Theory & Seasonal Sequencing

Here we dive into the heart of TCM’s elemental wisdom. You’ll understand seasonal energetics not as themes, but as intelligent frameworks that guide physical, emotional and energetic balance.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Earth, Metal, Water, Wood & Fire alongside their qualities, emotions, organs
  • How each element influences movement, mood, breath & energy
  • How to theme a Yin class seasonally without ever mentioning organs
  • Late summer, seasonal transitions, & cyclical teaching
  • How to align sequencing, language & breath with the elements

MODULE 5: Nervous System Regulation, Vagus Nerve & Emotional Release in Yin

Develop your knowledge around how Yin supports deep regulation and emotional unwinding. You’ll expand your ability to  teach with a nervous-system-informed lens that supports student’s safety and inner landscape.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Sympathetic vs parasympathetic responses in Yin
  • How long-held shapes influence vagal tone
  • Breathwork for down-regulation, clarity & emotional steadiness
  • The organ & emotion connection through TCM
  • How to create space for emotional release without forcing it

MODULE 6: Functional Anatomy & Yin Asana Labs

Become the teacher who breaks free from “one shape fits all” thinking and learn to teach from functional intelligence. The one who helps people feel better in their own perfectly unique  bodies.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Joint variation & why alignment rules don’t work
  • Skeletal differences and how they affect every shape
  • Compression points, bone shape, and safe boundaries
  • Target areas vs shapes & the core of functional Yin
  • Prop use, modifications, and intuitive adaptation

MODULE 7: Art of Sequencing: Anatomy + Energetics + Emotion

Learn how to craft Yin sequences that feel cohesive, intelligent and deeply therapeutic. Create classes that your community keep on coming for again and again because they feel seen and understood.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Sequencing through meridians and elements
  • Blending functional anatomy with energetic intentions
  • Class pacing, transitions, and energetic arc
  • Creating emotional balance through shape choice & theming without overwhelming students
  • How to build classes for seasons, organs, emotions or target areas

MODULE 8: Teaching Skills, Cueing & Creating Your Signature Style

Bringing the magic of learning together into confident, embodied teaching. You’ll add depth to how you speak with clarity, hold space with confidence, and teach with depth that feels natural.

Deepen your understanding of:

  • Cueing that invites awareness, not performance
  • How to talk about TCM in a grounded, accessible way
  • Language that supports emotional safety
  • How to guide students inward without “spiritual bypassing”
  • Building templates, themes & long-term class arcs
  • Developing your own depth-based teaching voice

Meet Your Teacher

I’m Caroline, a yoga teacher, anatomy educator and fascia-focused practitioner with over a decade of experience. I spent almost ten years running my own studio in Bali before returning to the UK, where I now specialise in helping yoga teachers bring more intelligence, depth and embodiment into their classes.

My teaching pathway has been shaped by studying with Jo Phee (assistant to Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers), whose Yin, TCM and Myo-Yin trainings transformed the way I understood anatomy, fascia and the subtle energetic layers of practice. I continued to refine my approach through further study with teachers including Sarah Powers, Tiffany Cruikshank, Jason Crandell and Noah Maze, weaving Western anatomy with Eastern energetics in a way that feels grounded, accessible and deeply intuitive.

Since 2016, I’ve taught Yin, TCM, fascia and anatomy trainings to teachers around the world, supporting them to move beyond shapes and aesthetics, and guide practices that offer real release, regulation and transformation.

My approach blends fascia science, nervous system regulation, functional anatomy and the subtle energetics of TCM, helping teachers lead classes that feel grounded, intelligent and deeply supportive.
