Transform Your Teaching with the Wisdom of Yin Yoga and TCM
Imagine stepping into a deeper realm of yoga where movement, stillness, and ancient wisdom merge. Our Yin & TCM Yoga Teacher Training offers a transformative journey beyond physical poses, weaving together the rich traditions of Yin Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to open new dimensions of teaching and self-discovery.
You’ll explore how meridian lines, organ health, and seasonal cycles interact with the body and mind, enabling you to create healing sequences that balance energy, emotions, and physical well-being. This holistic approach will deepen your practice and empower you to guide profound transformation in your students’ lives.
By integrating the Five Elements Theory and the flow of Qi (energy) through meridians, you’ll learn to guide students through both physical and emotional releases. Your classes will go beyond stretches – offering balance, alignment, and wellness in a world that needs it.
This training will expand your knowledge, evolve your teaching, and give you the tools to stand out, connect deeply with students, and offer a truly unique experience.

The Magic of Yin & TCM
Here is a sprinkling of areas we deep dive into:
Embodied Anatomy and Energetics
Unlock a profound understanding of the body, far beyond physical postures. This training will help you embody the principles of anatomy and subtle body energetics, so you can seamlessly weave them into your teaching. You’ll learn how to guide your students in understanding the relationship between their physical body and energy systems, cultivating a practice that is deeply rooted in both structure and flow. This deep embodiment will empower you to teach with confidence, helping your students feel not only the physical but also the energetic shifts in their practice.
Mastering Meridian Theory & Five Elements
Dive into the rich teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where the meridian lines, organ systems, and the Five Elements theory create a blueprint for holistic health. You’ll explore the interconnection between Yin Yoga poses and the body’s energy channels, learning how to create sequences that promote healing and balance. This understanding allows you to guide your students toward emotional, physical, and energetic harmony by working with the cycles of nature, meridian health, and seasonal awareness.
Nervous System Health & Emotional Balance
Learn how to use Yin Yoga as a powerful tool for nervous system regulation and emotional healing. Through the integration of pranayama, meditation, and TCM principles, you’ll gain the knowledge to help students move through stress, anxiety, and emotional tension. You will explore how the organs, meridians, and emotional states are intricately linked, allowing you to design classes that promote well-being, emotional balance, and deeper relaxation. This is where Yin Yoga moves beyond the mat, becoming a practice for life.
Art of Functional Yin and Thoughtful Sequencing
Move beyond aesthetics and align with function. This training emphasizes teaching Yin Yoga through the lens of functional anatomy, helping you understand that every body is unique. You’ll master the art of sequencing, using both physical anatomy and TCM’s meridian and element theory to create intelligent, healing, and personalized classes. Whether you’re addressing special populations, teaching complex sequences, or offering mindful adjustments, this training will give you the tools to teach with precision, clarity, and intuition.

Meet Your Teacher
I’m Caroline, a dedicated yoga instructor with over a decade of teaching experience.
I began my Yin Yoga journey in 2015 with Jo Phee (the assistant to the Founders of Yin Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers) in Australia, and now has over 200 hours of Yin training qualifications. My first training was focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine, and it is here that I was introduced to Paul Grilley’s method of anatomy and herein began my passion for changing the way I teach in both my Yin and Vinyasa classes and sharing this incredibly valuable theory.
I continue to study towards my 300 hour Yin course under Jo’s guidance, having studied Myo-Yin in Germany in 2018 and soon to join the Qi-Qong and Acupressure program.
I also studied with Sarah Powers in Bali, studying 70 hours of Mindfulness and Yin in Bali in 2020. With Jo’s blessings, I have been sharing my Yin & TCM (module 2) YTT and Yin & Anatomy (module 1) since 2016, and have helped over 150 students to move to the Yin side with ease and confidence!
