Nestled on the side of a hill and surrounded by lush rice paddies and ravines covered in rainforest, our accommodation exudes ethnic chic luxury for yogis looking to escape to a magical space where you can relax, rejuvenate, and envelop yourself into Balinese culture and nature.
We will stay in Ubud, Bali, which is the cultural and beating heart of Bali with a diverse selection of art galleries, temples, boutique shops, and restaurants. This is also a place where you can experience what life is like in the Balinese countryside. Enjoy the tranquility of the village and let the rhythm of nature set your pace throughout each day, from rising early with the sun and mother nature to cooling down with the sensational colours of a Balinese sunset.
At our beautiful retreat space you won’t even need to leave the resort to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. You can allow yourself to let go of everyday life and simply luxuriate in the comfort of our rooms and you’ll be treated to the most incredible views out of the large windows that welcome in natural light and gentle breezes.

Our home for the week is Blue Karma Ubud. It is a holistic retreat space in idyllic nature that simply invites a sense of ease and slowing down. It is located in Ubud, a short shuttle ride into the town itself.
Our joglo style garden view villas have been carefully crafted from Javanese wood, making your stay ethnic, authentic and luxurious. Each suite is entirely unique and simply magnificent in its style and spaciousness, yet all as charming as the next. With views of the tropical jungle, abundant rice paddies, and our stunning infinity pool; you won’t want to leave!

Sarang Yoga Shala

Taking pride of place at the center of our retreat space is the Sarang Yoga Shala, which has been ethically crafted with natural indigenous materials. The most magical of spaces, surrounded fully by jungle views and the sounds of nature all around us. What better way to switch off and unwind and tune inward?
Step into the cool embrace of the shala and you find yourself under a soaring thatched roof surrounded by views of lush jungle and embraced by the soothing sounds of natural streams running by. Watch your worries melt away as soon as you set foot inside.
Tantalize your taste buds with globally influenced cuisines. From the fresh and abundant breakfast and fruit juice to flavoursome Indo-Asian dishes, the food will be delicious and nurturing. Healthy ingredients prepared with the creative flair of an international chef, we will be taken care of with many a unique dining experience at Blue Karma Ubud.
Our retreat includes 6 nourishing and organically produced healthy breakfasts and evening meals. Getting to the Retreat
You will book a flight into Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, Bali. Upon arrival you will need to purchase your Visa on Arrival which allows you to remain in Indonesia for 30 days. The cost of the visa is $35USD, and you will want to bring cash to pay for your visa. Please check government pages as things can change quickly.
A transfer can be organised from the airport by the hotel with the cost being shared between travelers who arrive into Bali at similar times. Nearer your arrival we will gather your travel details and assist with coordinating any transfer requests with our accommodation.
Those traveling from elsewhere in Bali will need to organise their own transport to the resort.
Meet Caroline – Your Host
Caroline is an E-RYT500 and has been teaching and sharing yoga since 2011, as well as teaching pure Vinyasa 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training programs, 50 & 100 hour Yin Yoga, Chinese Meridians & Five Element YTTs since 2015. She was previously based on Nusa Lembongan island, 30 minutes from Bali by boat, teaching for 9 years and sharing regular yoga retreats at the beautiful yoga shala Serenity Yoga Lembongan, before spending two years in Bali itself transitioning to online teaching during the pandemic. She is now teaching weekly classes, workshops, trainings and online live yoga classes from Devon, UK. Her classes are playful, anatomy and mindfulness focused practices, packed full of curious play and exploration and tuning inwards to fully experience the detail of our inner and outer landscape.
Caroline has trained with Jo Phee (assistant to Sarah Powers & Paul Grilley, the founders of Yin Yoga) in both Yin & Chinese Meridians, as well as Myofascial Release, in Australia and Germany since 2015. She has also trained with Sarah Powers in Yin & Mindfulness in 2020 in Bali, Indonesia. Caroline’s passion for anatomy, well-being and functional movement stem from her own athletic background. She came to yoga with a desire to better understand her mind and body after the continued injuries from various long distance and track running events, alongside the realities of stress and burnout from her previous corporate world existence. Caroline has studied with and continues to study with Jason Crandell, Noah Maze, Tiffany Cruikshank and Kathryn Budig

If you wish to cancel your retreat, please note – we do not refund deposits or payments made towards the retreat. You are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend however. Exceptions to our cancellation policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather, natural disaster, terrorism, civil unrest, virus, health changes, personal emergencies, or otherwise. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early. If you’re unsure of whether you will need to cancel – we highly suggest investing in trip insurance via InsureMyTrip – and selecting “cancel for any reason” coverage. This will ensure yourself in the case of any changes in your plans.
